Opiskelua ja opiskelua

Koululaiset pääsivät kesälomalle nauttimaan lämmöstä. Minä sen sijaan vasta aloitan opinnot. Viikko sitten alkoi taidekurssi Penn State College of Arts & Architecturen verkkokurssina Courserassa, jossa käydään taidekäsitteitä ja tekniikoita läpi, samalla itse kokeillen. Mielenkiintoista, mutta haastavaa. Viimeksi olen enemmän piirrellyt yli 15 vuotta sitten. Vie hieman aikaa saada käsi taas tottelemaan.

Huomenna alkaa Tuotekehittäjän erikoisammattitutkinnon opinnot. Suoritan tutkinnon itselläni oppisopimuksessa. Lähiopetusta on 12 kertaa puolentoista vuoden aikana ja lisäksi mentorin kanssa keskusteluja. On hienoa saada tukea työhön, jota muuten joutuisi opiskelemaan kantapään kautta.

Mitä sinun kesääsi kuuluu?

School students got their summer holiday now and enjoy the weather. I on the other hand just begun my studies. A week ago, started an online art course by the Penn State College of Arts & Architecture on Coursera:  Introduction to Art: Concepts and Techniques. It is interesting, but challenging. Last time I drew properly was more than 15 years ago. Takes a little time to get my hand to cooperate again.

Tomorrow begins studies for the product development special vocational qualifications (?). It's a  apprenticeship that I do for my own firm. We have classroom education 12 times in one and a half years, and also discussions with a mentor. It's great to get support for the work that I otherwise would have to learn the hard way.
